Miniature Gardening With Herbs

Did you think I was kidding when I said I was really getting into this miniature gardening thing?  Well, I wasn't.  My first one was so much fun that now I've gone at it again with a container of herbs. And I can't wait for some of you fellow mini garden enthusiasts to see it.

So here are all the little details:  After a search for just the right container, I finally came across this drink tub with a stand at my local grocery store, and I knew it was just what I needed.  Never mind that it screamed "COLD DRINKS" on the side, because I knew I could turn that side to face the wall.

So, I added some chunks of styrofoam into the bottom of the tub for drainage since I did not want to drill holes.

Then, I filled it the rest of the way with potting soil...

Next came my favorite herbs...

Then it was time to put up the fence, which came in a pack of 5 little pieces from the doll house section at Hobby Lobby.  A little white craft paint made them just right.

Next, my miniature assistant put in the stone path for me.  (She loves this job!)

Then, we just added our other accessories.  The little wheelbarrow also came from Hobby Lobby, and it begged me to paint it red.

The little green bike came from here, and the bridge came from here.

And since I have to add a chalkboard label to pretty much everything in this house that doesn't move, I used another one of my popular wall plate ones with a magnet glued onto the back as a finishing touch.
