One of my favorite parts of writing this blog is "meeting" new people and hearing from readers. I never cease to be amazed at the reach of this little site and the people who stop by here to see what I'm up to and write me so many nice comments and emails. It means a lot to me to hear that you've been inspired by something I've done, but I'm also inspired so many times by the things you all do as well.
And today I have a little Reader Spotlight for you from a reader who's also a Mom-preneuer from Colorado. She recently sent me some of her yummy-smelling candles, which are simply divine. I've been using my candles like crazy since I received them and almost had to hide them from my sister when she was recently visiting me because she threatened to take them home with her!
Here's what Alicia has to say about her candles:
"My name is Alicia Hanks, and I am thrilled to have our candles featured on Less Than Perfect Life of Bliss, one of my favorite blogs!! I am a pastor's wife in Colorado, and the mom of five beautiful children. I started Mountain Lights LLC about two years ago, and my goal has been to make candles that you can actually smell! I love candles, but continually found myself disappointed in the lack of scent in the candles that I bought and brought home. A candle smelled nice in the store, but had no smell when I burned it. Sometimes, a candle would smell great, but it was gone in just a few hours. Our candles last between 30 to 40 hours and they smell great all the way to the bottom of the can. Our candles are Curiously Strong, and can fill a room with fragrance. Some of our fragrances can be smelled from the driveway!
We've rated them so you can have idea of how strong the different fragrances can be. We've been told by many customers that our candles do not cause headaches that our customers would normally would get from a candle. That is because we use cotton wicks, vegetable based wax, and quality fragrances. You just can't beat homemade goodness! We have some wonderful Spring fragrances that would make a great Mother's Day or Easter gift for the candle lover in your life: Blackberry Sage, Sage and Lemongrass, Pear Spice, Lilac, Cranberry Apple and lots of other wonderful fragrances.
Please check out our website, and follow us on Facebook: Mountain Lights LLC (Grand Junction, CO). "
I have the Sage & Lemongrass (which smells fresh & clean), the Cinnamon Bun (which will send everyone running to the oven, looking for cinnamon buns), and Black Raspberry & Vanilla, (which is is just dreamy).
You'll be thrilled to know that Alicia's giving away a free candle to one lucky Life of Bliss reader. All you need to do is visit Mountain Lights LLC, check out her current fragrances, and leave a comment here, telling which one you'd choose. For an extra entry, become a fan of her candles on Facebook (then leave another comment, stating that you did).
Giveaway closes Wednesday night (3/28/12) at 11:59 pm. Winner will be randomly chosen and announced on my Facebook page on Thursday. Good luck!
