Sweet Potato Fries: They're Good, Y'all!

Here in the South, most of us are more than half-way thru the summer, which means there have been a lot of cook-outs & a lot of eating out on the run. So, the other day while I was eating what seemed like french fry number #285 for the summer, I started a search for a little bit healthier alternative.

And, lo and behold, I found one from one of the most unlikely people: Queen of Southern cooking, Paula Deen.

I, for one, love her with her fabulous Southern accent & delectably Southern dishes. But, let's face it, y'all...she didn't get famous for helping us all get healthy.

{Isn't she adorable? And that kitchen is swoon-worthy.}

But, she does have a great recipe for Baked Sweet Potato Fries which you can find by clicking here. Like every other recipe of hers I've tried, they're delish. And easy to make as well.

And the best part is, they're actually healthy. Which is more than I can say about her Savannah Chocolate Cake with Hot Fudge. Yum.

We loved the Sweet Potato Fries. Let me know if you like them, too!

  1. I absolutely adore sweet potato fries!! YUM YUM YUM!! I'll try this recipe - so far my homemade ones arn't all that great (probably b/c I'm not deep frying them). If you ever wanna get frozen ones (hey desperate times call for desperate measures) I have found that the Kroger brand are the BEST! And I think I've just about tried all of them at this point.

  6. I've never been a sweet potato fan (this may be sacrilegious in the south!) but think I'd be much more inclined to splurge on that chocolate cake. It's hard not to love PD though. She's a sweetheart!
