Today I want to wish my mother a very happy Mother's Day. Here she is below in the pink jacket. She's the one my dad lovingly refers to as Mary Poppins because she's "practically perfect in every way". I thank her for teaching me everything from how to thread a sewing machine to how to depend on God when life turns out to be completely different than expected.
She is poised, yet fun-loving.
She is feisty, yet refined.
She is wise and she is wonderful.
And I'm so thankful she's my mom.
And to my wonderful mother-in-law, I want to say "Happy Mother's Day".
I have now known her for half my life.
And every year, I realize more how much I am indebted to her for her influence on her son, the best husband I could ask for and the only dad I would want for my kids.
She's is a very energetic and adventurous person and a great example to me of how to relax and enjoy life. I chose the picture of us below because it's a great snapshot of how we all have a great time together. That's me in the front with my mouth wide open, and that's her in the back, having a blast.
I'm so thankful to have her in my life.
Happy Mother's Day to the two of you. I'm so thankful to have your influence on me.
And Happy Mother's Day to all of the mothers who read my blog. May it be your sweetest one so far...
